Born from a sun-soaked vision in Los Angeles, California and now thriving in the vibrant heart of NYC, Shine Lab began with a simple idea: candles should do more than just glow; they should evoke memories, capture personalities, and elevate every moment.
Founder, Summer Taylor, began making candles for her friends in the midst of the 2020 pandemic, hoping to share a bit a light during lock down. Every candle was a reflection with each friend in mind, hand-poured with care, and blended with scents inspired by their personalities.
As word of mouth spread, friends wanted to send these personalized candles to one another, and the Shine Lab journey began. Shine Lab candles quickly found homes in spaces across the country, with collaborations with like-minded brands and companies who shared her passion for unique, handcrafted scents.

Our Ingredients
At Shine Lab Co., we carefully select the best ingredients we put into our candles. We want to make your home and our earth a brighter place, which is why we're conscious of our non-toxic ingredients and eco-friendly materials.
fragrance oils
Each fragrance in the Shine Lab collection is phthalate and paraben free! Meaning no more inhaling toxic chemical and synthetic compounds. We also consciously choose to keep synthetic color dyes out of our ingredient list.
vessel
Made of high quality glassware, our candle vessels are meant to be reused. Check out our Journal on how to clean out your candle jar once the candles are finish and ideas on what to use them for next.
Our cork lids are consciously made from naturally harvested oak tree bark, one of the most highly renewable and eco-friendly resources on the planet.
Coconut Wax
To ensure the purest and longest burn with an amazing fragrance hold, we use natural coconut wax. Coconut wax is eco-friendly and sustainable (with a high crop renewal and high yield per acre). Coconut wax is obtained through an entirely natural process.
